Project Engineer

Our client has an exciting opportunity for a dynamic,

motivated individual to join their growing team!

Location - West of Oakville

Essential Duties And Responsibilities:

• Coordinate execution of equipment projects by:

• Proactive communication with all parties with respect to documentation (orders, shop drawings, date changes, installation scope, etc.)

• Generate project support drawings, P&IDs, equipment skids, room layout

• Create bill of materials for purchasing

• Schedule equipment engineering, manufacturing, delivery and installation

• Monitor major component costing and engineering hours throughout the project.

• Support equipment install and commissioning and obtain final customer acceptance and sign off

• Attend installation pre-construction meetings as required, customer meetings or conduct installation site visits as necessary. Have install group attend as required.

• Provide technical assistance for customers and personnel.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience in water treatment

• Knowledge of AutoCad as some drafting work is required to support the work

• Possess initiative and creative skills

• Must have the ability to work independently with little direct supervision

• Strong problem solving skills

• Ability to work well under pressure of time constraints and to meet deadlines

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Ability to work and influence across functions and teams

• Possess strong attention to details

• Strong customer service and interpersonal skills

• Proficiency with MS Excel and MS Project

• 3+ years project management/engineer experience

Ability to travel 5%

• Bachelor of Science degree in a field of Engineering. (Mechanical or Chemical preferred)

Salary - Commensurate with experience
