Environmental Remediation Project Manager

Our client has a new opportunity for a Remediation Project Manager in their Environmental Group in the GTA. The successful candidate will be managing all types of remediation projects to support the development of contaminant remediation/management strategies and execution of remedial action plans.


The ideal candidate will be performing project management and design related to contaminated sites and remedial investigations, data analysis and interpretation, remedial technology evaluations, preparation of work plans and reports, system design & engineering, participating in staff development including training, and coordination and quality control for junior and intermediate staff in the Group.

Responsibilities:


· Manage and provide technical support on remediation projects across Canada and ensure that they are completed on time and within budget.

· Perform design calculations and prepare design deliverables, participate in preparation of Request for Proposals, and execute remediation projects.

· Prepare budgets, and invoices and perform other areas of project-related financial management.

· work plans/proposals and invoices with company requirements and to the satisfaction of the client.

· Build leadership and mentorship skills by working with and mentoring junior staff.

· Communicate with Clients and understand their project requirements.


Requirements:


· A Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Engineering.

· A Licensed Professional Engineer in Ontario (P.Eng.) is required or an ability to obtain the License within one year of the employment.

· 10 years’ experience in environmental consulting (preferred), at least 5 of which should be in a project management position focusing on environmental site assessments, remediation technology evaluation, remediation scope development, design and detailed specifications, and remediation costing.

· Managing dynamic teams of junior to intermediate staff to complete all aspects of the environmental site investigation and remediation process.

· Excellent technical reporting and peer-reviewing skills with a high level of attention to detail.

· Solid project management experience and be able to manage multiple long and short-term remediation projects.

· Exposure to a variety of remediation technologies, and experience with the design, implementation, operation, maintenance, and monitoring of the remediation treatment systems.

· Able to research the new remediation technologies and conduct a feasibility and cost analysis.
