Our client is an industrial electrical contractor who specializes in providing full turnkey electrical services to manufacturing facilities with machinery and processes (sometimes requiring automation/ instrumentation). They work for the same clients on a regular basis doing repeat business through good relations and competent workmanship and perform small half day to multi month projects. they also specialize in hooking up and controlling dust collection systems, propane dispensing & transloading systems, chillers/ cooling towers etc.

Non-union mindset
50hrs per week approximately
Non smoking
Valid driver license and lift and WAH certificates
75% of work in GTA 45min radius around our shop. Other 25% is outside GTA but in Ontario
We work for the end users (no GC’s or construction site work)
Working in manufacturing facilities and facility process applications (indoors and outdoors)
Ability to bend conduit for smaller 1 or 2 day jobs that have a mix of controls and wiring involved
Ability to do small installs involving VFDs/ soft starters, motor hookups, and other control components onsite
Able to troubleshoot without schematics, VFDs, soft starters, CNC machines, HMI, PLC controllers, valves, dampers, 4-20mA, 0-10V, modbus, small mix of mechanical that goes with a service role when figuring out issues with a machine, etc
Hazardous locations wiring (this one is niche and is not a must have)
Able to program parameters on VFDs, soft starters, sensors to commission systems
Ability to read schematics and P&ID drawings
Knowledge of electrical distribution systems installations
Knowledge of conducting large projects involving distribution and controls wiring - ie a manufacturing plant relocation.
Salary - Hourly Pay scale based on experience + O/T + bonus
