Applications Engineer

Our client has an exciting role for an Applications Engineer whom provides technical expertise that supports cost estimating, quotation and bid preparation for custom water solutions.

Location - Burlington

Role - Applications Engineer

The successful candidate will be responsible to prepare precise and consistent descriptions of the proposed equipment including material costing, estimation of labor, and accurate estimates on project timelines. This position provides clarification on customer specifications and clearly defines quality and regulatory guidelines on each project.

Responsibilities:

· Read and Understand Client Technical Specifications

· Select necessary equipment to meet the requirements

· Define scope of work

· Generate accurate material costing and estimation of labour and overhead costs

· Prepare precise and consistent descriptions of proposed equipment

· Create project timelines

· Prepare exceptions and clarification on customer specifications

· Review financial terms

· Present proposal in collaboration with commercial team to clients.

Education, Knowledge, Skills:

· A University degree preferably in Chemical or Mechanical Engineering.

· Experience with high purity water purification systems is an asset. Any experience in or knowledge of the Pharmaceutical market is a plus.

· A strong team player with excellent interpersonal and communication skills, multi-tasking abilities and presentation skills.

· A solid working knowledge of Excel, CAD, Word and MS Office.

· Ability to travel up to 5%

Salary - commensurate with experience.
