Process and Project Engineer

The Project Engineering is responsible for the execution of projects from the receipt of order to the delivery and final customer acceptance. This includes communicating with the Project Manager a clear scope of design and deliverables based on the budget.

Responsibilities:


• Coordinate execution of projects by:

o Proactive communication with all parties with respect to documentation (orders, shop drawings, date changes, installation scope, etc.)

o Generate project support drawings, Process flow drawing, Room layouts

o Create bill of materials for purchasing.

o Schedule equipment engineering, manufacturing, delivery and installation

o Monitor engineering hours throughout the project vs costed

o Support equipment install and commissioning and obtain final customer acceptance and sign off.

• Process loop piping mechanical designing.

• Attend installation pre-construction meetings, customer meetings or conduct installation site visits as necessary. Have install group attend as required.

• Provide technical assistance for customers and personnel.

• Follow good documentation practices.

• Work with all colleagues and departments in a professional manner.

• Work effectively in a fast-paced multi-tasking environment.

• Deliver process improvement projects.

• Continually provide innovative ideas to improve efficiency.

• Other duties as specified by their manager or designate.



Knowledge/Skills:


• Bachelor of Science degree in a field of engineering. (Process preferred)

• Minimum 5+ years project engineer experience.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Excellent organizational skills. • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment.

• Strong analytical skills. • Proficiency with AutoCad 2D.

• Experience with 3D Solidworks an asset.

   Proficiency with Microsoft Office especially Excel.

• Must have the ability to work independently with little supervision.

• Ability to work well under pressure to meet deadlines.

• Ability to think outside of the box to provide innovative solutions.

• Ability to travel to the United States.
